Tough things about being a farmer

1. Weather conditions keep on changing such as severe Droughts and floods

2. Changes  in milk and beef prices.

3. Strick health and safety regulations

I would like to be a horse stud farmer. Because I like working with horses but I would like to play Sports or be a trotting Driver.

  1. Hi Andrew!

These are some really great reasons for why it is tough to be a farmer! Awesome job :)
You are right all of these things must cause havoc for farmers.

That's awesome that you enjoy working with horses. A trotting driver also looks/sounds like a lot of fun, do you know anyone who does it?
Do you have any horses at the moment?

I am sorry to say but I think I like cows better than horses haha
I think they are very lovely animals, I like to go walking out by farm lands and check them out just chilling in the fields.

Really great job with your answers Andrew, keep up the good work!

  2. I have 3 horses one of them Milo is only a foal, Carrot is 10 and Monty is 18. And some more horses are Georie and Nosey and Tempest who me and mum broke in. And dad used to train trotters kynnersley won 5 races. I know John Dunn who is the third best driver in NZ and my favourite. Also i know David Butt and bis son Bob.

    1. Wow Andrew! Sounds like you and your family are awesome with horses, that is really cool!
I like the name Milo, did you pick any of the names?
How old do horses live normally? is 18 years quite old?

Far out! These are some really legendary people you know, sounds like you will have some really great people around you to help you become a trotting driver if you want to!

Thanks for the response Andrew, it's really interesting to hear about!
