Discovering Aotearoa

My Great Grandparents on Mum's side come from Scotland (my Grandmother 'Du'ee' was born in NZ not long after they arrived here) and I'm 8th generation West Coaster on Mum's Dad's side though their name is Sullivan so originally from Ireland.

On my Dad's side my last name is Harrington which is of Celtic origin. Nana says we are a little bit English and a little bit Irish.

  2. Kia ora Andrew,

Thank you for sharing your family culture. Who helped you discover your family heritage history? Did you talk about it with someone close to you?

I think it is awesome that you have family that have come from lots of different places. I actually have family that originated from Scotland and England too.

Did you enjoy exploring your family’s culture a little? I think it is very cool to learn about the history of our ancestors!

I noticed you have completed lots of posts the last couple of days Andrew! You have done an amazing job. Expect a few comments from me today as I work through all of your SLJ posts. I can’t wait to read them all :) :)
