The Right to Vote

If Kate Sheppard were to be replaced on the NZ $10 note I think a good replacement would be Nancy Wake. I think she would be a great figure because she was really brave, she joined the French Resistance Movement helping the Allies and even killed a Nazi soldier with her bare hands. She was the most wanted woman of the Gestapo with a 5 million franc price on her head.

    Kia ora Andrew,

    I think you have thought of a great woman to feature on our $10 note. I like that you have told us who you would choose and given us reasons why she is deserving.

    Do you think they will ever update the $10 note? I think it would be strange to update it, after having Kate Sheppard featured for so many years but perhaps change is good. What do you think?

    Keep the posts coming Andrew. I love reading what you write about and with only 2 more days of the SLJ this year, I am looking forward to seeing what else you complete before it is finished.
