Night Owls

I am sometimes an early riser and sometimes a night owl. I can get up early if I want to but if I don't want to get up then I get up around 8.

Dad is a night owl but when he has to go to work he gets up at 4:30.

Mum is an early riser because she is up at 6.30am most mornings.

Scarlett, Jasper and Albert (my sister and brothers) usually get up at 7am so they are probably considered early risers. Albert also gets up in the middle of the night quite often.

  1. Kia Ora Andrew,

My name is Rachel and I am working on the Summer Learning Journey blogging programme. It is wonderful to see that you have joined us this year and been such an active participant!

I have enjoyed reading through all of your activities and can really relate to this particular post because I, like your Pappa, am an early riser. I must admit that I am not quite as early a riser as your dad but I still try to get up by about 5:30 a.m. Does your Pappa have help milking the cows in the morning? Do you ever go with him?

I actually grew up in Canada in a small farming town. A lot of my friends had cattle and a few of them had to milk the cows before they came to school. I really admired them for being able to get up so early and do such physical work before coming to school to start their learning for the day.

Speaking of learning, I hope that you are learning new things about New Zealand and about our environment as you make your way through the SLJ this summer. We have lots of activities waiting for you to explore. Feel free to hop online anytime between now and Friday 25 January 2019 to complete SLJ activities. Our team will be online every day ready to read your work and post comments.

Hope to blog with you again soon!

    Bye for now,
    Rachel :)

  2. Hello Andrew,
I am Vitaraag. Your Dad sure seems to wake up really early. I try to sleep at 9:00 to 7:00. Maybe next time you could say when you go to bed. Keep up the amazing work.

    Vitaraag
