North and South

Hokitika

I live in Hokitika which is in the South Island of New Zealand.
It is a small to medium sized tidy town which is on State Highway 6 so it has a lot of cool shops for the tourists that travel up and down the Coast.
Hokitika always looks clean, and it is a friendly beachside town.
It is at the mouth of the Hokitika river which is usually a sparkling blue but in bad weather turns angry and grey.
I enjoy running on the grey sand and smooth stones of the beach, playing rugby on the green grass of the park and visiting the cian, diamond sparkling gorge.

  1. Hi Andrew

You do live in a really cool little town. Hokitika is a really vibrant town. I like all of the great language that you have used to describe your town.
I do like the christmas lights and decorations that are in Hokitika, particular the christmas tree and also the lights that lead from the town to the beach. That looks amazing at night time.

The Hokitika gorge is a really amazing place to visit and the colour of that sparkly water is breath taking. This is somewhere that all visitors should go and see.

Please remember when you post photos that you need to attribute them. Here is a link if you copy and paste it into your browser it will show you how to do this.
