Weird and Wonderful

My cactus plant needs 3ml of water a day.

There are 365 days in a year (366 in a leap year)

To work out how much water my cactus plant needs over a year I X 365 by 3

365X3
300X3=900
60X3=180
5X3=15
900+180+15=1095

My cactus plant will need 1095ml of water in a year

  1. Hi Andrew

    Well done with the answer to this problem. Its great to see that you shown me how exactly you worked it out. That is fantastic and just what I wanted to see.
    Three mils of water is not a lot of water but when you add it up over the year it comes to a far bit.
    I also like that you have thought about a leap year. There would be three mils more in a leap year. Well done.

    Great work Andrew, Keep it up.

    Until next time

    Allie :)
