A House is Not a Home

I chose Fruit Forests in Tajikistan because its pretty important to preserve these forests since only 3% of the country is forested!

Also the forests have some pretty yummy fruits and nut trees including walnut-maple forests sites, critically endangered pears, almonds and apples.

I think its cool that part of the FFI's action plan involves schools. The schools learn about, protect and help raise awareness.

  1. Hi Andrew!

Thank you for sharing about your interest in the work done for the Tajikistan Fruit Forests!
I think you have bought up a great supporting point for the perservation of the forest, 3% is not much at all!
I wonder how much of these forests are made up of the fruit and nut trees being protected?

I think it is also very cool that they are involving schools!
It is nice when we are able to feel a sense of responsibility for our environment - I think it is growing in importance too with all of the damage we have done to our environment and the impact this is having!
Is your school involved in any projects like this?
    Are you an enviro-school?

Great job with this activity Andrew, you have done awesome with sharing some interesting points about the Tajikistan fruit forest project!

    Nga mihi,
    Ellee :)
