Three ways I could raise funds to help preserve the Great Barrier Reef are:
1. Many sporting event where all profits are donated towards barrier reef.
2. A music festival with as many top stars as you can get.
3. Nation wide raffles.
Hello Andrew, I am Vitaraag. These reasons seem like a excellent ideas. I would donate if I was able to. Would you donate? Maybe next time you could say where the Great Barrier Reefs is. Keep up the nice work!
These are some awesome ideas for raising funds for the Grat Barrier Reef!
I like the idea of holding sporting events - Would these be local games or on a bigger scale? Which sports would you try to have participate?
A music festival would be amazing... specially in the summertime - I am sure that if people knew proceeds would go towards Great Barrier Reef they might even perform for free...? Where in New Zealand would the festival be held?
I recently went on a trip to the Philippines and in a place called El Nido where lots of tourist go on boat tours they have implimented a thing called an environmental fee. Each person pays the fee once and it lasts for 1 week - you can go on as many boat tours in that week as you want, you just have to show proof you have paid the fee. The money then goes towards keeping the ocean beautiful and clean as well as maintianing coral and marine life. Maybe Australia could do something like this too?
I think you have come up with some fantastic ideas Andrew - Great job!
