My Summer Holiday

This year I am going for a horse treck for the first time. I am busy organising all the things I need to take with me.

We carry all our own gear on our horse in saddlebags - we need to take food for the entire trip, cooking gear, clothes, sleeping bags, tents etc.

Our itinerary for each day is:
22km From Lawrence to 'derelict stomping battery' (public land)
24km to 'quarry' near Abbotsford
17km to Deep Stream, Old Dunstan Rd
22km to Howell's yards Great Moss Swamp
22km to 'Intake' lakelet near Patearoa
19km to Totara Creek
22km to Bonspiel
