Printing Prosthetics

Modern prostheses can cost tens of thousands of dollars and kids quickly outgrow them so for most children a prosthetic is an impossible dream.
e-Nable are using 3D technology to print prostheses like hands, fingers and wrists and then giving them away for free!
They don't even pretend to look like real hands - they look like something Iron Man would have which is really cool.
They are on track to provide 6,000 prostheses in the next 2 years.

  1. Hi Andrew!

My name is Matilda and I am a blog commenter for the Summer Learning Journey this year!

How cool are these 3D printed prosthetics! It is amazing that so many children are being able to be helped by them!

I think that it is especially awesome that they can be made out of so many colours! Which colour would you like? I would ask for yellow or pink. What about you?

Did you already know about what E-Nable was doing? I had never heard of them before the Summer Learning Journey. Had you?

Awesome work completing so many activities! You’ve done so well!

    Matilda :)
